Funshine finishes and G Fly
starts. |

After
funshine the dust has begun to settle. And we can
count what jump numbers people did in the 5 days of
funshine. Most jumpers arrived early and stayed on a
few days afterwards to get as much sun and jumping
as possible.

out each others jumps. We welcome footage from all
the jumpers.

Ross Tully has come
for an AFF course. Ross did an AFF course about 7

we did a few hours ground instruction with him and
then did an AFF level three then a five and seven.
He is now continuing following our BPA system to
gain his A licence.

Anna Howersky visita Skydive Spain.

Aqui tenemos a

Despedimos a Olly y Jamie.
BPA, reconocida mundialmente. No lo olvides, si
quieres obtener tu licencia BPA (British Parachute
Association), tiene que ser firmada por un
Instructor Avanzado.

cualificados instructores. Arriba podemos ver a Andy
enseñándole a Amy como funciona un paracaídas. Andy
Slider, bandas, mandos, líneas A,B,C,D,
ventajas.
Salta en el sol.

Hasta pronto Graeme y Liam. Graeme vino a continuar

Pete…! Esperamos que tengas seguro Pete..!

September
starts with a beautiful weekend of the 5th
and 6th at Skydive Spain. The skies were
wall to wall blue and the wind was light.
Our very own Twin Turbine Dornier returned
from our sister dropzone in the UK Target
Skysports (Hibaldstow) after a busy month
flying at the British nationals, UKS boogie
and a 60 way event.
We welcome back our regular jumpers who
spent the weekend organising some FS and FF
jumps. Along with a hand full of Tandems and
the start of some AFF courses.

Manolo and
Oliver after visiting the opticians

Pete, Jonno,
Olly, Hedy, Hannah, Bego, Sandy, Sissi,
Andy, Jamie, David and Francisco.
Early this
month we welcome Olly and Jamie both Airline
pilots onto our AFF course.
We also
welcome Hedy from Holland, David from
Liverpool in the UK and Sandi from France
all here to do the AFF course. You can see
them all in the above picture before
boarding the Dornier to get to 15,000ft
(4500m).

Olly landing
All five AFF
students have completed 6 hours of ground
instruction before boarding the Aircraft
with two instructors to do the level 1
skydive. As a brief description of the AFF
course, it consists of 8 Levels usually 1
jump per level.
The first
three levels are with 2 instructors and the
next 4 levels are with only 1 instructor and
the final level is a solo jump. After level
8 you then complete 10 solo jumps from
15,000ft which gives you your "A" licence.
The "A" licence is recognised throughout the
world, so you can visit any dropzone around
the world and jump on your own.
As I write
this Olly is on level 3, Jamie is on level
4, Hedy is on level 5 and Flying ahead of
the group is David and Sandi on level 6. By
tomorrow all 5 students should have finished
level 8 and started solo jumping. Skydive
Spain is one of the only dropzones in the
world that can almost guarantee you the
weather as it is the best in all of Europe.

Above you can
see the AFF students having their morning
refresher brief, today given by Andy
Lovemore and Pete Huskins. You can see them
all wearing pretend parachutes so that they
can practice opening their main parachutes
and practice their emergency procedures.

David, Jonno Olly, Jamie and Andy after
landing.

Jamie, Hedy and Olly with their instructors.
The tables
have turned for our AFF students now. Jamie
has stretched ahead of the others and
finished level 8. David and Sandy are on
level 7 and Olly and Hedy are on level 6.

We welcome
back Julietta above who has come to carry on

weather then come to Skydive Spain. We have
one of the fastest climbing and comfortable
Aircraft in Europe.
And for those
who don't know it, Skydive Spain and our
sister dropzone Hibaldstow in the UK are the
only DZs in Europe who go to 15,000ft
(3600m) on every load..! That's 3,000ft
higher than most other places. If you think
about it you get another quarter of a
skydive free each jump, or a free skydive
every 4 jumps..! You can't argue with those
figures..! Jump in the sun skydivespain.com

Here are the
new wind blades from AAD Vigil, we use the
wind blades in the landing area as
decoration and to give us an indication of
the wind direction for landing.
AAD Vigil are
the manufacturer of the Vigil 2 AAD
(Automatic Activation Device). Your Vigil 2
is your guardian angel when skydiving. If
you were accidently knocked unconscious or
were unable to open your main or reserve
parachutes the Vigil 2 will automatically
open the reserve as your last resort. |

Skydive Spain
puts new latest technology student equipment
on line ready to jump.
Skydive Spain
has bought new student equipment, we now
have Vector SEs containers with Navigator
main canopies, PD reserve canopies and Vigil
2 AADs. This equipment is state of the art
and specially designed for student
progression.
Our Vector
containers are all fitted with Skyhook RSLs
for the fastest reserve deployment, Colins
lanyards for added security, totally
protected reserve and main pins to be
freefly friendly and greater security whilst
moving around in the aircraft.
Our Navigator
main canopies range is 300, 280, 260, 240
and 220 square feet, this means we can take
a huge range of different body shapes and
sizes for AFF courses. Also during and after
your AFF course you can downsize through our
student and hire range to excel your
learning.
Our PD reserve canopies are a truly tested
reserve. PD have many years of experience
manufacturing reserve canopies. PD have
tested their reserve canopies with thousands
of successful live deployments, we had no
problem choosing PDs reserve.
Our new
equipment is fitted with Vigil 2 AADs. the
Vigil 2 is the most advanced AAD on the
market today. The multi mode Vigil 2 for
Pro, Student and Tandem was an obvious
choice for Skydive Spain as it gives us the
versatility and insurance we needed in an
AAD.

You can see the number of the rig and the
size of the main canopy written on the dust
cover. So there will be no confusion to what
type of equipment you are wearing.
Also on the right riser of the kit above you
can see the small yellow tag, which when
disconnected from the riser disconnects the
skyhook, Colins landyard and RSL in one
move..!
