Our very own sponsored team Satori have brought the Gold medal home in the AAA Senior class at the British National 4 way competition. They triumphed over Pussy galore in second place and SonicNutz (another Skydive Spain team) in third place.

Satori opened up with a huge score of 30 points in time on round 1. By the end of the competition they had scored a massive 20.7 Average over 10 rounds. This is the highest score ever for a British 4 way team.

Contact Skydive Spain for Satori training camps. Satori are not relaxing their grip one bit, they are focused on the World Cup in Czech Republic. Then straight into team training for next season.

Skydive Spain sponsored team Volare entered the VFS and take home the Gold. Volare famed for their talent in the artistic competitions decide to do some VFS. Volare were joined by Frazer and Chris Lynch to make the winning combination.

Good luck Volare for the British National Artistic competition starting 15th Aug.

Congratulations to SonicNuts who trained at Skydive Spain and Hibaldstow along side Satori. This was the first season with the two teams combined (Sonic 5 & Wingnutz), so with a podium placement they will be very happy. They scored a massive 14.9 average.

Another team who trained at Skydive Spain and Hibaldstow was Unagi. Unagi used Satori as coaches. They took gold in the single A category with an impressive 11.4 average. Unagi are  Peter Mathers, Alison Stainer, Jon Dundee, Louis Schreuder and Martin Heywood.

SKYDIVE SPAIN IMPROVEMENTS

Thanks to all the people who helped get the Centre ready for the oncoming season. So thanks to Pete Huskins, Maxim, Andy U, Jonno Horne and Andy Lovemore. These are some of the changes we have ready for our opening day September the 5th. Photos by Andy Lovemore.

Just a reminder of what's going on at our sister dropzone in the UK, Target Skysports (Hibaldstow) this month.

Hibaldstow have the British Nationals of 4 way and VFS starting on the 8th until the 10th of Aug. This is the biggest national competition outside of the USA. Last year there was approx 50 4 way teams, that's over 250 competitors..! On one day at last years nationals Target Skysports (Hibaldstow) flew over 100 lifts, what a machine.

The 8 way, Artisitics, Canopy Formations and Speed Skydiving championships is on the 15th until the 17th of Aug.

On Aug 22nd 23rd is 50 way weekend and Skyvan event.

And then on Aug 28th - 31st is the massif UKS Boogie. This boogie is looking to be the biggest one yet..!

We have some sponsored teams entering the British Nationals. Good luck to Mikey Carpenter, Adam Mattacola and Alberto Fuertes of Volare who are entering the Artistic Freefly. You can see them on the left here team training at Skydive Spain in July 2009.

And good luck to Aaron, Julia, Katie and John of Satori who are entering the AAA 4 way. On the right here you can see them training at skydive Spain in June 2009 by Andy Lovemore.

This is what Skydive Spain has in store for the opening season.

Funshine Boogie. On 19th - 23rd or Sept we have more Funshine Boogie..!  If you need your slice of funshine Pie this is your time.

We have Andy Lovemore, Alberto Fuertes, Mikey Carpenter, Jim Harris. Fabien Raidel and Christian Moxnes.

These are some photos from the last funshine boogie. All 21 participants did between 40 and 45 jumps each. With the low student to coach ratio all participants excelled in just 1 week.!
