4th January 2006 - Christmas Boogie
The weather has been glorious sunshine and clear blue skies for the last few days, the turbines have been flying non-stop.

We have been having lots of FS coaching with thanks to Pete and Sue from Optic, Laura Hillas, Lee Pugh, Simon Cathrine, Calvin Blacker and Steve Hamilton.  It has been FS1 galore and Jim Harris has been awarding FF1s also.

Visiting 4-way team Polaris from Madrid is team training at present with coaching from John McIver.

We have had more AFF students participating in ground schools meaning our AFF instructors are kept very busy and the students are doing really well.

Nils has just completed his last day with us and departs to go up north, but he has organised plenty of excellent Freefly loads - we have loads of footage to go on the DVD.

I will post photos very soon....

30th December 2005 - Christmas Boogie
We have had some fantastic weather over the last couple of days, been sending between 20 and 26 turbine loads per day and people are jumping their socks off..!!!!

AFF students having been storming through their courses, Jim Harris' FF students have been developing huge amounts of new skills and the FF group dives are growing in numbers and diversity every time.  Nils has been concentrating on the load organising for FF groups and tracking groups and those who have never been on a tracking dive have been joining in (a few firsts I'm sure....more beer in the bar).

Steve Hamilton has been getting some help from Hib's Simon Cathrine to get FS organised loads in the air - everyone is wanting on them.... Some complex 4, 6 and 8ways to some 12 and 14 ways too.

Ed Nye's partner Maxine did a Tandem and is thinking about AFF, whilst Ed is banging loads of jumps in with Lee Pugh doing FS coaching - he's even extended his flights to stay longer..!?!?!?

Check out the photos below and there will be some more in air photos very soon....

25th December 2005 - Christmas Boogie
We've had another few good days of jumping...

We had a fantastic Christmas Dinner thanks to Zaira, Julie and Leonie from the Sky Bar cafe - 53 of us ate and drank til the early hours last night.....

Brian Vacher arrived to teach his canopy skills, the students have been learning masses and eager for more...Brian has also been showing us some of his freestlye landings leaving us wanting more.

FunkFlyz Nils Pedstrup started his organising from the 23rd and has been getting in some good FF group jumps and many awesome tracking dives.

Jim Harris has been busy as ever with the FF coaching - Mike has now got his FF1 after only 19 jumps..!!!
Andy Price did his 100th jump and Steve Kingdom gained his CH1 and is working towards his CH2.  Derek Schofield is helping all the newbies get their CH1 and 2 ready for when they go home.

Andy Montriou and B have been helping with the video footage again, entertaining us every evening with a day tape - some very funny sketches were done...see the boogie DVD when it comes out..!!!

Lee Pugh has been working hard with Mark O'Reilly to get him his FS1 - only a couple of jumps to go..

The Ozzie's returned to Skydive Spain to cause more mayhem - Alex and Cam have been jumping their socks off as usual - interesting exits boys..  (or should that be landings...Cam..?)

21st December 2005 - Christmas Boogie
Preparations for the boogie were still going ahead right up until the day. We had a group of visiting Spanish jumpers come down from Madrid and ALex Thomson took them through water landings for their USPA B-Licence and the regular Skydive Spain jumpers were taking advantage of a relatively quiet DZ before the influx of skydivers began....

The boogie has got off the a brilliant start, the weather is great and the Turbines are flying hard and fast. We have a total of 70 lifts in the first 4 days. With the arrival of the 2nd G92 the jumpers are never out of the air and our wonderful Derek from Hib is back to keep control of us all....!!!

Baz Braid and Jay Hodgkinson came with some friends for a long weekend and got in 40 jumps between the pair of them in 2.5 days. Cheers for that guys, come back real soon..!!!

Freefly Space's Jim has been madly busy coaching and organising Brunel Uni students over the weekend, he managed 45 jumps in the first 3 days..!!! (got pic) Hinesh and Brad got in loads of jumps and massively developed their skills, and the RAPS students they brought with them, decided to do AFF and graduated in 2.5 days..!!! Good going guys...

Mike Pilling had been managing loads of FF coaching with Jim too.

Andy Montriou, Lee Pugh and Olly have arrived to help out and have some fun. Andy jumped straight on to some AFF and Lee has been doing Tandems and FS coaching, Olly is just piling out of planes and getting on with packing - great to have you lads with us to enjoy the first Skydive Spain Christmas Boogie.

Andy M and his lovely B have brought their gorgeous baby Rufus with them who is adored by all, B is helping out with ground footage for the end of day bar tapes, cheers honey.

Bodyflight Rage (newly formed Senior team) arrived Sunday for 4-5 days of training. They have been getting in 8-10 jumps a day - Skydive Spain look forward to the Training Camps up ahead for both the new Senior teams and the Intermediate and Junior teams from this new project.
Andy Myers, Maria Allen and friends have come over for a week to take advantage of the Seville sunshine..mixture of FF and FS and some other stuff.... It is also great to see Al and Pixie roll up for a few days, I'm sure we are gonna see some brilliant Atmonauti and tracking dives going on with these guys.

More news and photos soon.
