Skydive Spain is a successful skydiving centre. We are proud of all our students as they pass through our courses and want to give testimonials of their experiences with us.

We also have many experienced jumpers coming over to visit. Some are here for team training, some for holidays and some want to take part in seasonal boogies.

28th February 2007 - Tube skydive

Patricia, Jacobo and Diego plan their tube exit from the Finist. When done well, these skydives end up flying at an incredibly high speed and look similar to a donut in the sky!

Alec Flint and Sarah Fletcher turned up for a week's worth of fun jumping.

25th February 2007 - Sunday's jumping

Hannah Swallow is one the operators at Skydive Spain. Seen here packing she has to organise everything from fuel, opening up, coaching, AFF, team training, military expeds, supplies and even the paperwork.

Local jumper Patricia was on the first load of the day at 9am. We couldn't believe our eyes either.

24th February 2007 - Weekend sky diving in Spain

The weather was fantastic this Saturday and we completed 21 SMG loads, here's a load full of our Spanish regulars, 5 of which completed AFF with us.

Ole Hjelle (Norwegian 4way Champion) brings groups of tandems to Skydive Spain. This Saturday he brought 7 students to keep Jonno and Alex busy.

Daz Tyrer, Tyrone Grundy returned with Rich Bell for some Freeflying. Rich and Tyrone have taken advantage of 'Outbreak' on the DZ, hiring Jim and Mikey for coaching. Martin Reynolds also arrived at for 3 days of sunny jumping.

Christine Knowles and Lee Armstrong arrived for the FS1 course. Bego and Sally took them under their wings for FS development.

18th February 2007 - Daniele Basttistini does a Tandem Parachute Jump

An Italian, Daniele Basttistini, now living in Seville did a tandem skydive on Sunday, "It was incredible. Just sensational, like flying…I can't believe it !!!"

David Fuglesoy is a teacher at a language school in Jerez and likes to take the students our on activities. He brought 6 Norwegian students for a Tandem skydive this Sunday, they all took home a DVD of their fantastic experience.

17th February 2007 - Wind Tunnel training with John and Steve

Bego (one of our AFF instructors) and her husband Manolo took 3 of our regular jumpers, who qualified AFF with us, to the Bedford wind tunnel last weekend. They all learned loads and flew approx. 1.5 hours each. They are seen here with Steve Hamilton and John McIver (members of Sebastian XL - British Champions).

Ryan Washburn and Anthony Dewoolf, 2 American lads from the USA Naval Base, Rota came for a tandem skydive and went surprisingly quiet in the aircraft! Nice one boys, glad you enjoyed the experience.

Manfred Art brought a group of Austrians to the DZ. 7 of them arrived on Wednesday and another 2 more came on Thursday. (Manfred, Alex, Gunter, Martin, Martin, Gerald, Andy, Rainer and Klaus) Their aim to do 8 jumps a day for 3 weeks. We will let you know how they get on.

Manfred runs a DZ in Austria in the summer and his group of merry men have an excellent sense of t-shirt humour.

 
 
9th February 2007 - Olaf Blakely

Olaf Blakely arrived for 2 weeks on 9th Feb. He has been to us before and returned for some FF coaching from Jim Harris. He has also teamed up with Jill Duncan for some fun jumping also. Jill has started jumping again after an 8 month lay off.

You may wonder how the parachutes are packed. The answer is safely. We employ several parachute packers who carefully maintain and prepare our parachutes for action.
 
 
9th February 2007 - Jo Lammens

The eternally busy Jim Harris & Mike Carpenter from Outbreak have been coaching Jo Lammens, over from Portugal with consol student Pete Roberts, and returning jumper Olaf Blakeley.

 
 
10th February 2007 - Jacobo celebrates his 100th jump

Local jumper Jacobo only started jumping a few months ago. His enthusiasm and commitment have now seen his first 100 jumps. It is therefore a tradition in the sport to buy everyone a drink or 2 to celebrate!

We would like to welcome AFF student Joe McGirr who came to do a full course from the 9th to 12th of February. He managed to do 5 of his levels in a really short space of time. We hope to see him soon to finish off his course.
 
 
 8th February 2007

 

AFF student Rolando here with instructors Alex and Bego. Learn more about our Accelerated Freefall course. Rolando comes from the US army and is on a short break from Hawaii. Both Rolando and his girlfriend plan to return soon to finish their sky diving courses.

We would like to welcome a large tandem group here on the 10th of February. They come from the Air Traffic Control centre in Sevilla.

 
 
10th February 2007 - Our new SMG-92 arrives

Ian our CCI stands in front of the new SMG-92. There are now 2 of these in our fleet and they are turbine powered. This particular aircraft has an even more powerful engine taking jumpers to 15,000ft in around 13 minutes.
