This Septembers Funshine was truly a Multi national event with skydivers coming from England, Romania, Italy, France, Ireland, Spain, Switzerland, Norway, Austria, South Africa, Finland, Holland and Germany.

All of the above participants were coached on all skydives by the best of the best freeflyers in Europe. The progression of everyone in 5 days was truly outstanding.

Big thanks to Skydive Spain DZ owner Hannah Swallow for hosting the funshine event and also a big thanks to Mark Owen of funshine fame for organising 36 participants and 6 fantastic coaches. After Funshine finished MArk took a well earned rest and spent the day at the local beach soaking up the sun. Above and left you can see Mark after his day off doing some 1 on 1 jumping with Mikey Carpenter of Volare.

We are eagerly awaiting the Next funshine event. If you want to be involved then contact Mark at Funshineboogie.com.

We say good bye to Olly and Jamie. Jamie is off back to work in the UK and Olly is spending the next week down on the south coast of Spain with his girlfriend. Both leave with their BPA A licence, a world recognised licence. Don't forget if you want to get your BPA (British Parachute Association) A licence it must be signed for by a BPA advanced instructor. Fortunately here in Skydive Spain we have a resident BPA Advanced instructor.

We say good bye to Hedy as she flies back to Holland. Hedy also leaves Skydive Spain with her A licence after completing her AFF course and 10 solo jumps. You can see her learning to pack Pete's parachute...! I hope you have insurance Pete..!

Welcome to Graeme and Liam from Cark dropzone in the UK. Liam is here jumping his own kit and Graham is on 10 second delays, progression from static line. You can see them both above with Andy Lovemore (DZ manager) and Ainoa Boyd (manifester).

We welcome Amy Motram onto our AFF course. She is now doing her ground school with Andy Lovemore our DZ manager. Amy will do about 6 hours of ground school before jumping with 2 qualified instructors on her AFF level 1. Above you can see Andy teaching Amy how the parachute works. Andy is using a mini replica parachute as a training aid. The parachute has a slider, risers, toggles, A B C D lines, control lines, D bag, Pilotchute and a cut away system the same as a real parachute. With Skydive Spain you get the full service and much more. Jump in the sun. Skydivespain.com.

September starts with a beautiful weekend of the 5th and 6th at Skydive Spain. The skies were wall to wall blue and the wind was light. Our very own Twin Turbine Dornier returned from our sister dropzone in the UK Target Skysports (Hibaldstow) after a busy month flying at the British nationals, UKS boogie and a 60 way event.

We welcome back our regular jumpers who spent the weekend organising some FS and FF jumps. Along with a hand full of Tandems and the start of some AFF courses.

All five AFF students have completed 6 hours of ground instruction before boarding the Aircraft with two instructors to do the level 1 skydive. As a brief description of the AFF course, it consists of 8 Levels usually 1 jump per level.

The first three levels are with 2 instructors and the next 4 levels are with only 1 instructor and the final level is a solo jump. After level 8 you then complete 10 solo jumps from 15,000ft which gives you your "A" licence. The "A" licence is recognised throughout the world, so you can visit any dropzone around the world and jump on your own.

As I write this Olly is on level 3, Jamie is on level 4, Hedy is on level 5 and Flying ahead of the group is David and Sandi on level 6. By tomorrow all 5 students should have finished level 8 and started solo jumping. Skydive Spain is one of the only dropzones in the world that can almost guarantee you the weather as it is the best in all of Europe.

We welcome back Julietta above who has come to carry on fun jumping. If you want some guaranteed weather then come to Skydive Spain. We have one of the fastest climbing and comfortable Aircraft in Europe.

And for those who don't know it, Skydive Spain and our sister dropzone Hibaldstow in the UK are the only DZs in Europe who go to 15,000ft (3600m) on every load..! That's 3,000ft higher than most other places. If you think about it you get another quarter of a skydive free each jump, or a free skydive every 4 jumps..! You can't argue with those figures..! Jump in the sun skydivespain.com.

Skydive Spain puts new latest technology student equipment on line ready to jump.

Skydive Spain has bought new student equipment, we now have Vector SEs containers with Navigator main canopies, PD reserve canopies and Vigil 2 AADs. This equipment is state of the art and specially designed for student progression.

Our Vector containers are all fitted with Skyhook RSLs for the fastest reserve deployment, Colins lanyards for added security, totally protected reserve and main pins to be freefly friendly and greater security whilst moving around in the aircraft.

Our Navigator main canopies range is 300, 280, 260, 240 and 220 square feet, this means we can take a huge range of different body shapes and sizes for AFF courses. Also during and after your AFF course you can downsize through our student and hire range to excel your learning.

Our PD reserve canopies are a truly tested reserve. PD have many years of experience manufacturing reserve canopies. PD have tested their reserve canopies with thousands of successful live deployments, we had no problem choosing PDs reserve.

Our new equipment is fitted with Vigil 2 AADs. the Vigil 2 is the most advanced AAD on the market today. The multi mode Vigil 2 for Pro, Student and Tandem was an obvious choice for Skydive Spain as it gives us the versatility and insurance we needed in an AAD.
