On the 8th of October took place the I Jornada Aeronáutica Adaptada at the Juliana, an event organized by SAMU with the aim of providing an adapted experience in the area of aviation for people with physical, mental or sensory disabilities.
Through this initiative, the aim is to promote equal opportunities for people with disabilities, giving them the opportunity to participate in aeronautical activities.
The activities included a flight simulator, a workshop that explained the parts and functions of an aeroplane and a baptism of flight that gave participants the opportunity to experience the thrill of flying and connect with the world of aviation.
The day was attended by users of the Santa Ana and San Sebastián residences, as well as the San Lucas day care centre, all of which are located in the province of Seville and managed by SAMU; and students with physical, mental and sensory disabilities from different infant and primary schools in Seville.
We are delighted to have been part of this beautiful initiative of the SAMU Foundation and we hope to continue collaborating in the future in this type of events.
