A Guide to Your AFF Course

Your AFF Experience, Step by Step

Your dream of Learning to skydive starts here

Step 1

ARRIVAL AT THE AIRFIELD

We are located at La Juliana airfield. You will need to either pay a parking fee or obtain a parking pass

Step 2

chECK-IN

Walk down the track behind the hangars to our reception. Our staff will check over your paperwork and get you ready to start

Step 3

GROUND SCHOOL

We will spend the first day teaching you the basics about equipment familiarisation, flying your parachute, communication, freefall body position or lots more

Step 4

Advanced TANDEM JUmp

Before jumping solo, you’ll do an advanced tandem jump, where you’ll put some of the theoretical instructions into practice

Step 5

GEAR-UP / PRE-BOARDING

You’ll put on your own parachute system and do the safety-checks. We will also do a full run-through of the jump with your instructors to make sure you’re ready. All skydivers do these checks on every jump

Step 6

levels 1-3

During the first three jumps, you’ll be accompanied by two instructors. They will help you maintain a stable freefall position and perform the basic manoeuvres. All levels include a post Jump debrief

Step 7

levels 4-7

During the second half of the AFF program, you will learn to control your body – turns, unstable exits, forward movement. Level seven is where you combine all the new skills together into a single jump

Step 8

AFF CERTIFICATE

After completing the seven levels of your AFF course (AFF Gold Package), you’ll receive your AFF Certificate

Step 9

PROGRESSING TOWARDS “A” SKYDIVING LICENCE

If you wish, you can continue your training: Level 8 (low-altitude jump), 11 consolidation jumps, 5 coached jumps (included in AFF Expert package)

Step 10

You are a licensed skydiver

After completing your license (fees and applications not included in the AFF Course), the world will open for you literally! You will be able to jump with other skydivers now
